Bio
Sophomore: In the dual meet season, Emily posted a 1:05.20 at the UofL Invitational in the 100-breast and a 2:21.98 in the 200-breast. She had a 59.29 in the 100-fly against Kentucky, and a 2:01.06 in the 200-IM at the UofL Invitational.
Freshman: As a freshman, Emily competed in breaststroke events and provided depth in relay events. Sarratt swept breaststroke events at the Louisville Invitational with a time of 1:04.76 in the 100 breast and a time of 2:21.48 in the 200 breast. She won the C-Final at the Louisville Invite in the 100 breast with a time of 1:06.42. She was a member of the 200 medley relay team that recorded a second place finish against Xavier in a time of 1:46.36 with a split of 31.53. She was a part of the third place 200-medley relay team with her split of 31.11. In the three-way dual meet with Indiana and Evansville, she was 8th in the 200-breast with a 2:29.45.
Prep: Emily came to UofL from Hillsborough, North Carolina where she attended Trinity School of Durham & Chapel Hill where she swam for Coach Janet Ray while also competing for Duke Aquatics Club. Under Coach Ray, she was a three-time state champion and holds the record in the 100-breaststroke and the 200-IM. She was also a five-time team captain and named team MVP five times. Emily was also a Nationals qualifier as well as an US Open Qualifier. Emily was also a scholastic All-American recipient.
Personal: Daughter of Richard and Marie Sarratt. Born on June 25, 1996. Major is exercise science.
