As a junior, Anthony set new lifetime bests in the 200-free and 500-free both at the BIG EAST Championships. He also set a new personal best in the grueling 1000-free against WKU. As a sophomore, Anthony set a lifetime best at the 1650-free with a 12th place finish at the BIG EAST to score points for the Cardinals. He set another lifetime best in the 1000-free versus Western Kentucky. As a freshman, Anthony made conference cuts and then set three of his lifetime bests at the BIG EAST Championships. He set new marks for himself in the 200-free, the 500-free and the 1650-free. He also set a new lifetime best in the 1000-free against Western Kentucky. He came to U of L from Glasgow High School where he was an eight-time state qualifier, a six-time state medalist and a seven-time regional runnerup. His best finish at the State High School Meet was in 2005 when he finished fourth in the 200-free and 100-breast. He swam for Barren County YMCA for Coach Mary Whiteside. He was also recruited by Western Kentucky and Purdue.
Personal: He is the son of Joseph and Connie Mason. He is majoring in civil engineering. He was born Dec. 26, 1986.
