Kory Aldous joined the UofL Athletics staff in November 2021 and is in his third year working with the Cardinals’ men’s basketball team.
Aldous leads the creative direction for the men’s basketball social media accounts. He produces all of the video content distributed through the team’s channels, including practices, game coverage, short/long form stories, highlights, travel, etc. Additionally, he coordinates the creative process and production for recruiting visits.
Aldous previously spent five years at Columbus State University in Georgia. He managed publicity of all 13 NCAA sanctioned sports, including game recaps, social media and press releases. He was also the play-by-play announcer for the university for basketball, baseball, soccer and softball, and he co-hosted a daily radio show on the local ESPN affiliate.
Before that, Aldous was the play-by-play announcer for the Orem Owlz, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. He previously served as a sports reporter for BYUtv, acting as sideline reporter for home sporting events and editing packages/pieces for various sports during the athletics season.
Aldous graduated from BYU in 2013 with a degree in broadcast journalism.
The Houston, Texas, native and his wife, Cassie, have three children, Elliot, Georgia and Theo.
