Ty Sampson is in his fourth year on the UofL men’s basketball staff. Joining the Cardinals in 2018, Sampson served his first three years as Director of Video Operations and will begin this season as the Director of Basketball Administration.
Sampson’s primary responsibilities include scheduling of non-conference opponents, assisting with student athlete related financial aid, and continuing to oversee team video operations. Sampson also assists the coaching staff with advanced scouting, on-campus recruiting and team academics.
Sampson became Xavier’s first fulltime video coordinator for men’s basketball in 2015 after graduating from the University of Illinois in 2013 with a degree in finance. Sampson worked with the Illinois basketball program as an undergraduate, assisting with video operations, scouting, camps and other duties. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier in 2015.
