Kelsey signs the incoming freshman from OTE
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's basketball head coach Pat Kelsey announced the signing of Isaac Ellis on Tuesday.
"It is for good reason that Isaac Ellis is the reigning MVP of the highly regarded OTE league," said Kelsey. "His production and video game-like statistics speak for themself. He's a highly dynamic guard that can both score and pass. Beyond that, Isaac is a phenomenal human being. Isaac grew up breaking down the pick and roll at the breakfast table and comes from a family of extremely high-IQ basketball minds. He will be an outstanding addition to our culture, and his competitiveness will drive results every day that he's on campus. We're beyond excited about his early addition to our program."
Ellis most recently played in the Overtime Elite (OTE) league with Moravian Prep/YNG Dreamerz for the 2025-26 school year and was named MVP of the league after averaging 29.3 points, 8.9 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game during the regular season.
Ellis increased his production in the league playoffs, averaging 31.5 points, 9.5 assists and 5.8 rebounds across the four games.
Originally from Hickory, N.C., the 6-1 guard broke OTE's single game scoring record, scoring 56 points on November 14.
Ellis is a three-star recruit and is one of the top players in the Class of 2026 in the state of North Carolina.
