Cardinals Draw Texas in SEC/ACC Challenge

Louisville will face the Longhorns at home on Tuesday, December 1
CHARLOTTE – University of Louisville men's basketball has drawn Texas in the 2026 SEC/ACC Challenge and will play the Longhorns in the KFC Yum! Center on Tuesday, December 1, ESPN and the two leagues announced Friday morning.
Games will be featured across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network. Times and television assignments will be announced at a later date.
The Cardinals lead the all-time series against Texas 4-2, holding a 2-0 mark against the Longhorns when playing in Louisville. The two teams most recently faced off in the Empire Classic in Madison Square Garden in 2023, but Texas hasn't visited the Cardinals since Dec. 9, 1995, when Louisville won 101-78.
Louisville is 94-88 against current SEC membership. Texas finished 22nd in the final AP Poll of the 2025-26 season after advancing to the Sweet 16.
