LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry and senior Chloe Plumb met with the local media to preview the 2026 season Friday afternoon at the Planet Fitness Kueber Center.

About Louisville Field Hockey
• In 2025, Louisville posted an 8-10 record and reached the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship which was held at Trager Stadium.
• The Cardinals return 16 letterwinners from last season including all-ACC selection Annabel Sep and USWNT U21 Team member Lauren Masters. Louisville also welcomes eight newcomers to the team. The 2026 roster also features Louisville natives Tyler Everslage, Megan Mauzy, Tatum Bohnert, Riley Guy and Reese Johnson.
• Justine Sowry is entering her 16th season at the helm. During her tenure, Sowry has guided the Cardinals to nine NCAA tournament appearances, advancing to the quarterfinals three times and the semifinals in 2020.
• The Cardinals' will play host to Bellarmine in a preseason scrimmage on August 19 and officially open the 2026 slate on August 28 against Miami (Ohio). Â
• Louisville's Trager Stadium will also serve as the host site for the 2026 NCAA Field Hockey Championship November 20-22. It will be the seventh time that Trager Stadium will have served as the host site for event.Â
