ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Louisville men's golf team travels to Athens, Georgia for the NCAA Athens Regional, hosted by the University of Georgia from May 18-20.
The Cardinals will appear in a regional for the eighth consecutive time and 15th time overall. The field features 13 teams and 10 individuals with the top five team finishers and top individual advancing to the NCAA Championship.
Louisville will be paired with host-school Georgia and Brigham Young University for round one. Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET in 11-minute intervals with the Cards teeing off hole No. 10.
In his first five seasons as head coach, Ryan Blagg has guided the Cardinals to five-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, which also included a historic run at the NCAA Championships in 2020-21. The Cardinals closed the tournament tying for ninth, which was the best finish in school history and were able to make the playoff round for the third time in school history.
Regional play across six sites is set to begin Monday, May 18, and will run through Wednesday, May 20. Three rounds of stroke play will determine the 30 qualifying teams and six individuals (not on those qualifying teams) who will compete in the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship, set for May 28-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
With a top five finish this week, Louisville would advance to its sixth NCAA Championship and the first one since 2021.
