Louisville Set to Host ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships
May 13, 2026 | Track & Field
The meet will be staged over three days from May 14-16 at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park on UofL’s campus.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set to begin their postseason this weekend as they play host to the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the first time in program history.
The conference championship meet will be staged over three days from May 14-16 at Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park on UofL's campus. This will mark the third ACC championship meet that the Cards have hosted over the last two seasons, after acting as the host institution for the 2025 ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships and the 2025 ACC Cross Country Championships.
Competition will begin on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. ET with the first event of the men's decathlon, while track events are set to begin for the Cardinals at 5:20 p.m. ET with the preliminary round of the women's 400m hurdles. The schedule for all three days of competition can be found here, while the competition schedule for Louisville athletes can be found below.
Admission to the meet is free, while paid parking can be found at the Floyd Street Parking Garage across the street from Cardinal Park for $5 per vehicle.
Portions of the meet from each of the three days of competition will be streamed live on ACCNX. The full streaming schedule for the weekend can be found below.
Entering the competition, the Louisville men are ranked 11th nationally in the most recent USTFCCCA NCAA DI National TFRI, while the women's team slotted in at 20th earlier this week. Both teams have now been ranked in the top 20 nationally for four consecutive weeks heading into the postseason.
Earlier this season at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Boston, Mass., the Louisville men placed fifth in the team standings and the women placed sixth, the best combined team finish at the indoor conference championship meet since 2018.
The Cardinals combined for a total of four individual ACC titles in Boston, with KJ Byrd (men's pole vault), Ashley Callahan (women's pole vault), and Roman Kuleshov (men's triple jump) all looking to defend their conference titles from the indoor season this weekend.
The Cards will also be looking to build off their performance at last season's ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where the women posted a runner-up finish, their best in program history, and the men placed eighth.
Coming into the conference championship meet, the Cardinals hold 28 marks that rank among the top eight in the conference thus far this season, including nine that currently lead the ACC.
The Cards also boast 16 marks that rank among the top 25 nationally, most notably including NCAA-leading times from Elsingi Kipruto in the men's 10000m and Geoffrey Kirwa in the men's 3000m steeplechase.
