Cardinals Begin Split Weekend at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of Louisville track & field teams opened up their weekend at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday evening, the first of three meets the Cardinals will be competing in throughout the weekend.
Freshman Jackson Nolan made his outdoor collegiate debut in the men's 5000m to kick off the night for the Cards, turning in a time of 14:24.98 to finish sixth in his heat.
A trio of Cardinals competed in the men's 10000m, led by Spenser Wolf's time of 30:07.84 in his first appearance at the distance in his collegiate career. Dylan Wood followed close behind in 30:21.28 and Jack Moore rounded out the Louisville finishers in 31:40.21.
The Cards will close out their time in Raleigh tomorrow evening with a quartet of athletes set to compete in the women's 5000m. Action will be streamed live on ACCNX.
The Louisville sprinters and throwers will also begin their weekend tomorrow with the first of two days of competition at the UCF Knights Invite in Orlando, Fla. Friday's field events will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET with the women's javelin throw, while the women's 400m hurdles will kick off competition on the track at 6:00 p.m. ET.
