Cards Wrap Up Crossroads of America Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Louisville track & field teams wrapped up competition at the Crossroads of America Invitational in Indianapolis on Saturday.
Anna Panenko earned the fourth event victory of the weekend of the Cardinals, who split between the Crossroads of America Invitational and the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic, winning the women's triple jump with a massive personal-best mark of 12.73m (41-9.25) to move up to fifth all-time in the Louisville record books.
The Cards also got a podium finish in the women's pole vault from Iliana Triantafyllou, who continued her solid start to the season with a clearance of 4.27m (14-0) to place third overall and earn the top mark among collegiate athletes in the competition.
Miller Jones rounded out the weekend for Louisville with a runner-up finish in the men's triple jump, bounding to a final mark of 15.55m (51-0.25).
Over the course of the two days of competition at two different meets, the Cardinals combined for four event victories, 12 podium finishes, and saw eight new personal records established.
The Cardinals will return to action next weekend on Jan. 30-31 for the sixth annual PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, which will be hosted by UofL at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
