Louisville rescheduled its Sunday match against Notre Dame for Saturday at noon and postponed Sunday’s afternoon match against Southern Indiana
LOUISVILLE, Ky.- Following back-to-back victories in its doubleheader on Wednesday, the University of Louisville men's tennis team will play to defend its home court against Notre Dame on Saturday at noon ET. Â
Even though Notre Dame is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, the match will not count toward either team's conference record. Their match in South Bend, Ind. on April 11 at the end of regular season will count toward conference record. Â
Louisville (6-1, 0-0 ACC) continued their hot start to the season in its doubleheader against Butler and Xavier, sweeping both matches. Freshman Jerald Carroll earned his first singles win on the year after having multiple matches within a game of winning, but the team clinched before he could finish. Â
The Cards have two singles players ranked with Walid Ahouda landing at No. 68 and Hamza El Amine at No. 122. Ahouda and El Amine are ranked No. 59 as a duo while Andre' Steinbach and Matei Onofrei are ranked at No. 21, the Cards' highest ranking in two years. Â
