LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Head coach Whitney Young is excited to announce the hiring of Tristyn Stasi as an assistant coach for the women's golf team. Stasi joins the Cardinals after spending the previous three seasons competing on the EPSON Tour.
"We're excited to welcome Tristyn Stasi as our new assistant women's golf coach at the University of Louisville," said Young. "Tristyn brings a strong competitive background, a passion for player development and a deep understanding of the game. She'll be a tremendous asset to our program and a great mentor to our student-athletes."
"I'm honored and thrilled to join the Cardinal family," said Stasi. "Coach Young has a wealth of experience playing and coaching, and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside her. I look forward to helping our current and future student-athletes develop their mind and skills on and off the course! Go Cards!"
Stasi competed at the University of Illinois for her collegiate career from 2016 to 2021. She finished her career with the Illini with a 73.40 career scoring average, which currently ranks fourth all-time in program history. She earned an All-Big Ten season honor in each of her five seasons with the Illini. She was a first team All-Big Ten in the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season and second team All-Big Ten in each of her other four seasons.
She won two events during her collegiate career, including the 2018 Cardinal Cup at ULGC. She shot a career best 6-under-par 210 to claim the title, which is tied for the third lowest 54-hole tournament total in program history. She also claimed the individual title at the Schooner Fall Classic in the fall of 2019.
Stasi also competed in two Augusta National Women's Amateur tournaments while she was in college, including the inaugural tournament back in 2019.
Tristyn is currently out on the recruiting trail as the summer continues ahead of the 2025-26 season. She is spending this week at the US Girls Junior Championship in Atlanta. Incoming freshman Emree Cameron is among the field of players this week.
