The former MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year comes in with a 3.36 ERA and 361 career strikeouts.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball team and Head Coach Holly Aprile have announced the addition of right-handed pitcher Madi Reeves, transferring in after two years at Miami University (Ohio).
"I am beyond excited and incredibly honored to join the ACC and Louisville softball," said Reeves. "I cannot thank the coaches enough for believing in me and giving me this chance to grow, compete, and represent something bigger than myself."
Reeves, a rising junior with two years of eligibility remaining, joins the Cardinals with a 3.36 career ERA in 418.1 innings pitched and 361 strikeouts. The Yorkville, Illinois native has pitched 40 complete games throughout her career in 83 appearances and 69 starts.
In her sophomore campaign, Reeves appeared in 45 games with 40 starts, finishing the season with a 24–12 record and a team-best 3.51 ERA. She led the NCAA in innings pitched during the regular season and capped the year with a career-high 232 strikeouts. Her dominance earned her All-MAC First Team honors and a spot on the NFCA All-Region Third Team.
Her 2025 season builds on a remarkable freshman campaign in 2024, when she went 22–4 and was named MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year. That year, Reeves tossed her first career no-hitter, recorded 129 strikeouts in 163 innings, and earned All-Tournament Team honors.
A Yorkville High School graduate, Reeves holds her school's strikeout record and was a first-team all-state selection.
