Cards Shoot 1-Over-Par to Improve to Ninth at NCAA Regional

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Two University of Louisville men's golfers shot a 1-under-par 71 at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Tuesday as the University of Louisville moved to ninth place after 36 holes at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club
Louisville enters the final round eight shots off the spot needed to advance to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships on May 23-28 in Carlsbad, Calif. The top five teams from the region will advance.
Florida State is running away with the regional title at 21-under-par, while Mississippi (-7), Georgia (-6), New Mexico (-2), and Augusta (-1) round out the top five.
Cooper Claycomb and Sebastian Moss each shot a 1-under-par 71 on Tuesday to help the Cards improve by five shots from Monday's round of 6-over-par. The Cards shot a 1-over-par 289 on Tuesday.
Johnson and Moss are each tied for 15th overall and are both under par for the entire tournament at 1-under-par heading into Wednesday's final round of action. Johnson shot even-par 72 on Tuesday.
Claycomb is tied for 28th at 2-over-par after Tuesday's round of 71.
Warren Thomis subbed in on Tuesday and shot a 3-over-par 75, while Brady Smith is tied for 60th after his round of 78. He's 10-over-par after 36 holes.
The Cardinals tee of at 8:25 a.m. with San Diego State and Southern California.
