
Moss Records Third Win; Cards Finish Second Overal

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sebastian Moss of the University of Louisville men's golf team recorded a birdie on the 18th hole to secure a win at the Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines on Tuesday afternoon. The win was the third this season and the fifth of Moss' career at Louisville.
Heading into the final hole tied with teammate Easton Johnson, Moss recorded his third birdie of the day to pick up the individual win to finish the tournament at 8-under-par. The senior carded 69-70-70=209.
Collectively, the Cards finished in second place falling one shot behind tournament winner Florida, who entered the day at even par but finished at 17-under-par on Tuesday.
Louisville was second at 16-under-par, while UCLA was third, Purdue closed in on fourth place and Wake Forest ended the tournament in fifth.
Individually, the Cardinals had the top three finishers. Johnson shot 70 on Tuesday to finish with 69-70-70=209, while Cooper Claycomb closed the tournament in third place shot 70-72-70=212 to finish at 4-under-par.
Patrick Keeling finished in a tie for 32nd place at 9-over-par, while Brady Smith shot 68 on Tuesday to tie for 35th place. He closed the day with four birdies on his last six holes.
The Cardinals open the postseason on April 24-28 at the ACC Championships, which will be played at the Olde Stone Country Club in Bowling Green, Ky.
