No. 24 Cardinals Head to ACC Championship

LOUISVILLE – The No. 24 University of Louisville men's golf team will begin stroke play at the ACC Championship on Thursday at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Stroke play will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the top six teams will advance to match play on Sunday starting at 8:30 a.m. The top two teams will play at 11 a.m. on Monday for the ACC title.
Louisville, who earned the fifth seed in the tournament, will be paired with Duke and Georgia Tech..It will be the highest seed for the Cardinals since joining the league in 2014.
The Cardinals are led by senior Sebastian Moss, who enters the championship as the No. 5 player in the nation. The product of Pearland, Texas owns three tournament wins this year anf five during his career .Moss is coming off a victory in the Calusa Cup where he won the event with a birdie on No. 18.
Collectively, the Cards finished in second place at the Calusa Cup falling one shot behind tournament winner Florida, who entered the day at even par but finished at 17-under-par . Louisville was second at 16-under-par, while UCLA was third, Purdue closed in on fourth place and Wake Forest ended the tournament in fifth.
Individually, the Cardinals had the top three finishers. Easton Johnson shot 70 on the final day to finish in second with 69-70-70=209, while Cooper Claycomb closed the tournament in third place shooting 70-72-70=212 to finish at 4-under-par.
