Cardinals Host No. 6/7 Florida State in Final Home Series

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In its final home stand of the season, the University of Louisville softball team will host No. 6/7 Florida State for a three-game series this weekend. Games will take place on Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

The Cards are coming off a 2-0 loss to in-state foe, WKU, on Tuesday night. UofL now owns a 23-21 overall record, with a 6-12 bid in conference play. Easton Lotus and Ally Alexander logged the two hits for Louisville, with three different players drawing walks in the game.

Senior Day festivities will precede Saturday's game. Sunday's game will be broadcast on ACCN with Jenny Dalton-Hill and Pam Ward on the call, while Friday and Saturday's matchups can be viewed on ACCNX featuring Suzanne Bush and Dr. Joanna Lane.

Following her performance against Cal, freshman Jazzy Francik was named ACC Pitcher of the Week on April 15. Through 68.0 innings pitched, Francik has 65 strikeouts, 18 earned runs, 13 walks, and a 1.85 ERA. The freshman's ERA sits her at second in the conference.
Sophomore infielder Isa Torres leads FSU's offense with a .448 batting average on 74 hits, nine doubles, seven triples, and one triple. Her 74 hits lead the conference and put her second in the country.
The Seminoles are led by head coach Lonni Alameda, who is in her 17th year in Tallahassee. Alameda has an 802-220-2 record with Florida State, including one national championship in 2018 and two national runner-up finishes (2023, 2021).
