LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Brady Smith led the University of Louisville men's golf team by carding a 4-under-par 68 to move the Cards up two spots to eighth place after two rounds at The Hayt at the Sawgrass Country Club on Sunday.
As a team, the Cardinals put together a solid round of 4-under-par to move up to eighth place after 36 holes of competition.
Alabama leads the way at 22-under-par followed by two Atlantic Coast Conference schools in Virginia (-15) in second place and Duke (-13) in third. Texas (-12) is in fourth place and North Carolina (-7) rounds out the top five.
Smith, who was 4-over-par on Saturday, responded by shooting 68 on Sunday to move up to 25th place. He would birdie four of his final six holes on the front side and added two more birdies on the back nine to help move into the top 25.
Patrick Keeling and Easton Johnson both shot a 1-over-par 73 to slip into 34th place and 40th-place, respectively, after two days of action. Copper Claycomb dropped to 47th place after his round of 73 and Mads Roddik was solid with his 2-under-par 70 to move into a tie with Claycomb for 47th.
Warren Thomis, playing as an individual, is in 75th place after carding a 79 on Sunday.
