Cardinals Prepare for Clemson Invitational

This is the final regular season tournament before the ACC Championships
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back in action this week as they head down for the Clemson Invitational. Hosted by Clemson at The Reserve at Lake Keowee course, the Cardinals are one of 15 teams competing this weekend. The tournament begins on Friday, March 28 and will conclude on Sunday, March 30.
Of the 15 teams competing, 11 teams are ranked in the Top 60 and five teams are ranked inside the Top 25. No. 2 Arkansas, No. 11 LSU and No. 32 Tennessee competed with the Cardinals two weeks ago at the Betsy Rawls Invitation down in Austin. The Cardinals are ranked No. 51 in the most recent rankings heading into the weekend.
At the Betsy Rawls Invitational, the field consisted of nine teams ranked in the Top 60 out of the 14 teams in contention. Louisville finished seventh overall, in the top half of the field, and beat out No. 33 UNLV and No. 60 North Texas.
Louisville was led by a trio of players that finished in the Top 20. Veronika Exposito, Carmen Griffiths and Thienna Huynh all finished the tournament tied for 20th overall at 15-over-par 231. Griffiths has finished in the Top 20 in each of her last three tournaments dating back to The Robbie at the end of the fall season. Griffiths leads the team with five Top 20 finishes this season. Huynh has four Top 20 finishes and Exposito has two.
The first round is set to begin at 9 a.m. ET on Friday with tee times from hole No. 1 and hole No. 10. Fans can follow along with the live stats here or our social media channels for updates throughout the tournament.
