Cards Set to Split Between Four Meets

The squad will be represented at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, Don Kirby Elite, Music City Challenge, and Windy City Invitational on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams will split between four meets on the weekend of Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15 for their final weekend of regular season action.
The squad will be represented at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, Don Kirby Invitational, Music City Challenge, and Windy City Invitational. Detailed information on each of the meets can be found below.

The Cardinals will send a small group of distance athletes up to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, which will take place in Boston, Mass. at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center. The men's events will be contested on Friday, while the women's events are slated for Saturday.
Geoffrey Kirwa is set to make his collegiate debut in the men's 3000m in Boston after beginning his indoor career with a new program record in the men's mile at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational and a Louisville freshman record in the men's 5000m at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
On the women's side, Layla Roebke and Lucinda Rourke, who rank second and third in school history in the women's mile, will each toe the line in the event for the third time this season.

The Louisville jumpers and pole vaulters are set to head to Albuquerque, N.M. for the Don Kirby Elite at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The meet will stretch over two days of competition on Friday and Saturday.
Brion Stephens, four-time ACC runner-up in the men's high jump, headlines the Louisville men competing in New Mexico while freshman heptathlete KJ Byrd is slated to compete in both the men's 60m hurdles and men's pole vault.
Natalie Lark, who set a new program record in the women's pole vault two weeks ago at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational, and Synclair Savage, the program record holder in the women's long jump, will lead the charge for the Louisville women.

The Cards will be represented at the Music City Challenge by a group comprised of distance runners, throwers, and multi-event athletes. The invitational, hosted by Vanderbilt University, will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility in Nashville, Tenn.
For the first time since breaking the Louisville record in the women's shot put at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational earlier this season, Jayden Ulrich will step into the throws ring in Nashville. Noah Koch will compete in both the men's shot put and men's weight throw to highlight the Louisville entries on the men's side.

Kiyah Yeast will lead the charge for the Louisville women in both the 60m and 200m, while freshman Jaidyn Johnson, who moved to third in program history in the men's 60m at last weekend's Eastern Indoors, will compete in the men's 60m this weekend as well.
