DALLAS, Texas - The University of Louisville football team was overpowered by Atlantic Coast Conference opponent SMU by a score of 38-6 on Saturday afternoon at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.

UofL drops to 7-4 on the season and 4-4 in conference play while SMU moves to 8-3 and 6-1 in ACC action.

With starting quarterback Miller Moss injured, Louisville used both Deuce Adams and Brady Allen at the position. Adams notched the start and completed 12 passes on 17 attempts for 94 yards, while Allen had two completions on three attempts.

SMU held a 485-228 edge in total yards, 307 of which were through the air. Mustangs quarterback Kevin Jennings accounted for 303 yards on 29-of-37 passes and tacked on three touchdowns in the contest.

The Mustangs defense held Louisville's offense to two field goals while pulling down an interception off of Allen. The unit also tallied five tackles-for-loss, two sacks and a forced fumble.

Louisville Head Coach Jeff Brohm said:
"Really bad day of football. I'll take the blame, I'm the head coach. Really couldn't have gone much worse than that. All three segments, definitely offense and defense, stuck it up. We did a bad job coaching. We weren't able to respond. That falls on me."
