Cards Set to Host Battle of the Bluegrass in Regular Season Finale

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville football team will host in-state rival Kentucky at L&N Stadium in its final game of the regular season on Saturday with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m. ET.

Saturday's game will mark the 37th edition of the Battle of the Bluegrass, which dates back to 1912. Last year, the Cards brought the Governor's Cup back to Louisville after beating the Wildcats in Lexington.
The 41-14 victory capped off the regular season for UofL, ending a five-game losing streak to UK. Louisville dominated the first half, scoring 20 unanswered points heading into the break. The Wildcats quietly responded but couldn't come back as they were outscored 21-14 in the second half.
The Cards dominated via the running game, with Isaac Brown rushing for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Duke Watson added 104 yards and two touchdowns of his own.

Louisville (7-4, 4-4 ACC) aims to end the regular season on a high note after coming off its third straight loss, losing 38-6 to SMU on Nov. 22.
Quarterback Deuce Adams made his first career start, going 12-for-17 with 94 yards. UofL ran for 128 yards, highlighted by Shaun Boykins' 52 yards on eight carries. Duke Watson added 36 yards on six carries.
Safety D'Angelo Hutchinson led the team with 10 tackles. Defensive back Corey Gordon added nine tackles while notching a tackle for loss. Defensive lineman AJ Green recorded the Cardinals' only sack.
