The meet will take place on Friday morning at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville cross country teams are ready to begin their postseason on Friday, Oct. 31 when they play host to the 2025 ACC Cross Country Championships.
The event will be contested at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, marking the first time that the Cardinals have hosted the ACC championship meet since 2017.
Friday's action will begin at 9:40 a.m. ET with the women's 6K championship race, while the men's 8K will start at 10:30 a.m. ET. An awards ceremony will follow immediately after the conclusion of the men's championship race to crown the team and individual champions and recognize the top 21 finishers in both the men's and women's races as All-ACC.
The duration of the competition will be televised by ACC Network with coverage beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET. Admission to the course will be free, but parking will cost $10 per vehicle.
Of the 18 programs represented at the conference championship meet, the field in Louisville will feature seven men's teams and six women's teams that are ranked in the latest USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll.
The Cardinals will be looking to improve upon their finishes at last season's ACC Cross Country Championships in Cary, N.C., where the women placed 10th and the men placed 15th in the team standings.
In their third season under Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Joe Franklin, the Cards have continued to demonstrate marked improvement on both the men's and women's sides, highlighted by a team victory for the women at the Southern Showcase in their season debut on Sept. 12 and a fourth-place finish for the men at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Oct. 3, where they were the only school to place three individuals in the top 10, led by freshman Elsingi Kipruto, who claimed the top spot.
