
No. 7 Cardinals Open Play at Home Against No. 15 Princeton and Penn in ACC/Ivy League Crossover

Seventh-ranked Louisville open a five-game home stand this weekend when the Cardinals take on No. 15 Princeton Friday at 4 p.m. and Penn Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The seventh-ranked University of Louisville field hockey team will open a five-game home stand this weekend when the Cardinals play host to No. 15 Princeton on Friday at 4 p.m. followed by a Sunday 1:30 p.m. matchup with Penn. North Carolina will also visit Trager Stadium to take on the Tigers and Quakers in neutral site matchups as part of the Atlantic Coast Conference/Ivy League Crossover.

• Aimee Plumb was named to the 2024 Preseason All-ACC team as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Cardinals were picked to finish in a tie for fourth in the preseason poll.
• In 2023, the UofL field hockey team posted a 15-7 overall record and made its fifth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance, reaching the quarterfinals for the third time in the last five years. Louisville also went 3-3 in ACC play and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament. The Cards finished the season at No. 10 in the NFHCA Coaches' poll after spending 10 weeks ranked among the nation's the top 10, reaching as high as No. 4.
• The Cardinals return 16 letterwinners from last year's squad including Plumb and fellow fifth-year senior All-America selection Mia Duchars. Louisville also welcomes nine newcomers with eight freshmen and one transfer.
• The Cardinals' eight-game home slate features four ACC opponents including defending national champion North Carolina along with a non-conference showdown with NCAA runner-up Northwestern.

The Quakers were picked to finish third in the 2024 Ivy League Preseason poll after finished last season with a 7-10 overall record and tied for third with a 5-2 mark in conference play and ranked tied 3rd in the Ivy League.
• Colleen Fink is her 14th season at the helm and has helped the Quakers become one of the Ivy League's top programs.
