The Cards will host tournaments in the fall and spring this season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Head coach Whitney Young is excited to announce the 2024-25 women's golf schedule Wednesday morning. The schedule features eight regular season tournaments and one match play event over the fall and spring seasons, including two tournaments the Cardinals will host. In the spring, they will host the eighth annual Moon Golf Tournament in Florida and in the fall, the Cardinal Cup returns for the first time since 2019.
The Cardinals will have their first two tournaments of the fall season in the Bluegrass State as they open the year at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky from September 8-10.
The very next weekend, the Cardinal Cup returns after a five-year hiatus. It will be held at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville from September 13-15. The last time the tournament was held in 2019, the Cardinals came away with the win after shooting 4-over par for the tournament. The 2024 event will be the 17th in tournament history and the Cardinals have won the event nine times.
Up next for the Cardinals is a trip to Arkansas for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. The event will be held from September 30 - October 2 and it will be the third time in the last four seasons that the Cardinals will compete in the event. The Cardinals placed sixth overall in 2021 and ninth in 2022 at the Blessings.
The Tar Heel State is next for the Cardinals as they will take part in the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. The tournament will be held from October 11-13 and it is the second time in the last three seasons the Cardinals will compete in the event. In the fall of 2022, Louisville finished fourth out of 14 teams in the tournament.
The final tournament of the fall brings the Cardinals to Huntsville, Alabama. Louisville will partake in The Robbie Tournament from Oct. 25-27 to close out the fall season.
Before the spring season begins, the Cardinals will take a training trip to Naples, Florida. During their time in Naples, they will host a match play event with Indiana and Kentucky on January 21.
The first tournament of the spring season will be the eighth annual Moon Golf Invitational, hosted by the Cardinals at the Suntree Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida. The three-day tournament will be held from February 16-18.
A trek to the Lone Star state is up next as the Cardinals will head south to Austin, Texas for the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. Hosted by the University of Texas, the two-day tournament will take place from March 17-18.
The final regular season tournament will take place in Clemson, South Carolina. The Cardinals will take part in the Clemson Invitational for the second-straight season and it will be held from March 28-30. Last season, the Cardinals placed 13th as a team in the event.
The 2025 ACC Championships will be hosted at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The four-day event will be held from April 16-19. The NCAA Regionals will be hosted at campus sites from May 5-7 and then the top six teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championships, held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
