Cards Close Regular Season by Tying for Fifth Place at the Aggie Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's golf team closed the regular season by tying for fifth place at the Aggie Invitational at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas, on Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals will begin postseason action at the ACC Championships in Charlotte, N.C. beginning on April 19.
On Sunday, the Cardinals fired a 12-over-par 300 to finish the tournament at 305-295-300=900 to tie with Texas-San Antonio. Louisville closed the two-day event at 42-over-par. Baylor won the tournament at 14-over-par and Texas A&M was second at 20-over-par. Sam Houston was in third and LSU finished in fourth place.
Cooper Claycomb recorded a top-20 finish by ending the two days at 9-over-par. He shot 76-70-79=225 to close the day in a tie for 20th place.
Easton Johnson tied for 23rd place after shooting 75 on Sunday. He finished his tournament at 10-over par by carding rounds of 78-73-75=226. Max Kennedy tied for 25th-place at 12-over-par after shooting 76-78-73=227. His final round of 73 was tied for the best round for the Cardinals over the 54 holes. Johnson also 73 on Saturday.
Sebastian Moss was the fourth player to finish in the top 30 by tying for 29th place by carding a 12-over-par 228. Clay Pendergrass tied for 32nd place after shooting 76-76-77=229.
