Moss and Claycomb Pace Cards During First Round of the ACC Golf Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sebastian Moss and Cooper Claycomb each shot 1-under-par to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team into a tie for eighth place after the first round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Charlotte Country Club on Friday afternoon.
As a team, the Cardinals were just 1-over-par after shooting a 285 after the first 18 holes of action. Wake Forest leads the way at 13-under-par, while North Carolina is in second place at 9-under-par and Georgia Tech is placed in third at 6-under-par. Louisville is tied with Virginia Tech for eighth place.
Moss posted five birdies and four bogeys for his round to sit in a tie for 15th place after the first 18 holes. He would birdie holes No. 1, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 8 on the front nine. He would also birdie No. 17 in his final nine holes.
Claycomb is also tied for 15th after he recorded three birdies and just a pair of bogeys on the afternoon to finish with his round of 70.
Easton Johnson was next in line after he carded a 1-over-par 72 to stand in a tie for 35th place, while Max Kennedy is in 44th place after he shot a 2-over-par 73. Clay Pendergrass is tied for 57th place after he shot a 5-over-par 76.
Louisville is set for round two on Saturday morning, pairing with Duke and Virginia Tech. The trio will tee at 9 a.m.
