Nicole Perroni and Kokoro Nakazawa Named to All-ACC Team

Perroni was named to the First Team and Nakazawa was named to the Second Team.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Nicole Perroni and Kokoro Nakazawa of the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team were named to the 2024 All-ACC Team, the league announced Tuesday. Perroni was honored as a first team selection and Nakazawa was named to the second team.
Perroni was named to the second team in 2023 but has not been named to the first team before this year. Louisville has only had four individuals in program history on the All-ACC First Team with the most recent coming in 2017.
The midfielder has recorded 45 goals, 47 ground balls, 71 draw controls, and 42 caused turnovers this season. She currently leads the ACC in caused turnovers per game with 2.33, free position goals per game with 1.00, and ground balls per game with 2.61. Her 2.33 caused turnovers per game ranks ninth nationally.
Playing 70 games in her career, Perroni is currently on a program-high 54 game goal-scoring and point-scoring streak. Her goal-scoring streak is the longest active streak in the ACC.
This marks the first All-ACC honor for Nakazawa, the senior from Yokohama, Japan who leads the team with 60 goals and 21 assists this season.
She is ninth in the ACC in assists (21), second in free position goals per game (0.94), first in goals (60), and second in points (81). Her 81 points ranks 13th nationally and her 60 goals ranks eighth in the country.
The attacker has scored at least once in every game this season with at least three goals in 13 of 18 games. Nakazawa has led the team in goals in 12 games so far this season. She has scored 104 goals in her career and is currently on a 23-game goal-scoring streak that dates back to 2023.
