Cardinals Exit ACC Men's Tennis Tournament

Men’s tennis falls to #29 Georgia Tech
CARY, N.C. – UofL fell to Georgia Tech 4-0 in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.
Louisville dropped the doubles point quickly, falling 6-0 on Court 3 then 6-1 on Court 2.
At the time Georgia Tech clinched the doubles point, the Cardinals were battling tough on the top court as #9 Etienne Donnet/Natan Rodrigues were up 4-3 on the Yellow Jackets.
Donnet was the first Card to fall in singles, losing to #11 Andres Martin 6-2, 6-1. Then freshman Kosuke Nakanishi was defeated 6-3, 6-3 before the Yellow Jackets clinched the match on Court 2, beating Rodrigues 6-3, 6-3 as well.
UofL now awaits the NCAA Selection Show on April 29 to find out if any individuals or the team have earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships. Louisville was ranked 46th in the ITA Collegiate Team Rankings headed into the tournament.
