Cards Ready for Louisville Opener

The meet will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & field teams are set for their first home meet of the 2024-25 indoor campaign, as they welcome a pair of SEC powerhouses in Kentucky and Texas for the Louisville Opener on Wednesday afternoon.
The meet will act as the first of six meets on the Cardinals' schedule that will be staged at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in the West End of Louisville.
Competition will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men's shot put and the first event of the women's pentathlon. Live results for the day's events can be found here, while a full schedule of events can be found here.
Admission to the meet will be free with parking available in two surface lots provided by the facility for free as well.
The Cards began their indoor season last weekend with six distance runners competing at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, Mass. Geoffrey Kirwa set a new Louisville freshman record in the men's 5000m while Layla Roebke (women's 5000m), Lucinda Rourke (women's 3000m), and Maddie Seaby (women's 5000m) all moved into the top-five in program history in their respective events.
