Cardinals Head South to Face Clemson
October 30, 2024 | Women's Soccer
This is the final match of the regular season
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's soccer team is hitting the road for the final time in the regular season this week. Louisville is heading south to square off with Clemson on Thursday, October 31. The Cardinals and Tigers will face off at 7 p.m. ET and the match will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra.
The Cardinals have been playing some of their best soccer over the past few weeks. The Cards have either won or drawn in three of their last four matches dating back to October 12. The defense has been on point over that stretch as they have allowed just two goals over those four games.
In the most recent match, the Cardinals ended up with a 0-0 draw against Boston College on senior night. The Cards only allowed one shot on goal the entire match as they picked up their sixth clean sheet of the season. Erynn Floyd picked up her fifth shutout of the season as she saved the only shot she faced during the match.
Clemson heads into Thursday's match with losses in each of their last three matches. They have a 6-8-2 overall record and are 2-7 in ACC play. In the series history, Louisville trails 2-3-1 all-time against the Tigers. The Cardinals are 1-1-1 all-time in games played down in Clemson.
