Cardinals Draw with Clemson, 0-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville women's soccer team had another strong defensive effort in its 0-0 draw against Clemson Thursday night in Clemson, SC.
Erynn Floyd had been playing some of her best soccer over the past few weeks and continued tonight with seven saves. Floyd was there to make the saves and she was a part of her sixth shutout of the season.
In the first half, the Cardinals had four corner kicks and three shots in the first 15 minutes of the match.
In the second half, the Cardinals continued to up the pressure defensively and had a number of strong defensive plays keeping the match tied.
Heading into the final few minutes, the score was level at 0-0 but the Cards had a string of shots.
In the 80th minute, Mackenzie Geigle fired a low shot towards goal and it was saved and deflected away by the Clemson defense.
The Cards regular season play is complete and will wait to find out their fate for the NCAA tournament on Monday, Nov. 11.
