Cards Head into Final Round of the Williams Cup in Eighth Place

The University of Louisville men's golf team shot a 9-over-par 297 in the second round of the Williams Cup presented by STITCH Golf at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C. on Monday.
The Cardinals remain in eighth place after 36 holes of play. Arizona State holds a two-shot lead over North Carolina, while Auburn is in third place at three shots back.
Sebastian Moss remained in the top 10 by shooting a 1-over-par 73 and is even-par after 36 holes to enter the final round of action in a tie for eighth place. The native of Pearland, Texas, recorded a pair of birdies on the day for UofL's top round.
Easton Johnson and Cooper Claycomb are tied for 36th place with a 5-over-par 149. Johnson shot a 3-over-par 75 on Monday, while Claycomb was one shot better with a 2-over-par 74.
Brady Smith is tied for 49th place after he mirrored rounds of 75 on Sunday and Monday to sit at seven-over par, while Mads Roddik is tied for 65th place with a 12-over-par 156.
The Cardinals are teamed with North Florida and Oregon for the third round of action that begins at 8:15 a.m.
