
Cards Sit in Sixth Place after First Round of the Blessings

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Louisville men's golf team has three players among the top 35 and stands in sixth with an 13-over-par score of 301 after day one of the fifth annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, presented by Tyson Foods.
#15 LSU leads the 10-team men's field with a 3-under 285 and Mississippi State was the only other team to finish round one under par with a 1-under 287. The Cardinals enter round two 16 shots off the lead.
Sebastian Moss leads the Cardinals after the first day of action. The senior carded a 1-under-par 71 to enter Tuesday in third place overall. After shooting a 3-over-par 39 on the front, Moss responded with five birdies to stand one shot off the lead.
Mads Roddik is tied for 35th after his round of 3-over-par and Cooper Claycomb rounded out the top 35 with a 5-over-par 77 to sit in a tie for 33rd place. Brady Smith is tied for 42nd place after his 6-over-par 78 ane Easton Johnson is tied for 47th with a 7-over-par 79.
Round two of three is set for Tuesday. The Cardinals will start at 11:30 am off hole 10.
