Cards Assemble Top Round at the Blessings; Move up to Third

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team assembled the days top round to move up to third place after two rounds of the Blessinga Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at the Blessings Golf Club.
Entering the day in sixth place, the Cardinals shot an even-par round to move up to third place at 13-over-par. They were the only school to shoot even-par or better.
LSU leads the way at 6-over-par and Mississippi State is in second place just five shots ahead of Louisville at 8-over-par.
All five of the UofL players are in the top 40 entering Wednesday's final round.
Sebastian Moss is in third place at 2-under-par after shooting consecutive rounds of 71 to sit four shots off the lead heading into the final 18 holes of action. Gunnlaugur Arni Sveinsson of LSU paces the field at 6-under-par, while Jordan Gilkison of Kent is second at 3-under-par.
Cooper Claycomb moved into the top 10 with his round of 2-under-par after shooting 77 on Monday. Mads Roddik is tied for 23rd place after carding 75 and Brady Smith shot an even-par 72 ro move all the way into 23rd place, while Easton Johnson is tied for 39th after he shot 77.
The Cardinals tee off Wednesday at 11:20 a.m. on hole No. 1 to see if they can overcome the seven-shot deficit.
