Cards Rally to Third Place After Two Rounds at the Sea Best

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Max Kennedy shot an even-par 140 to lead the The University of Louisville men's golf team to third after two rounds of the Sea Best Invitational Monday in Jacksonville, Fla.
Collectively, the Cardinals carded a 14-over-par 574 to sit 12 shots behind Florida, which leads at 2-over-par. North Florida is in second place after shooting 9-over-par. Louisville, which opened the spring season on Monday, shot a 3-over-par 283 during the second round of action.
The third round begins on Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the par 70 TPC at Sawgrass Course.
Kennedy opened with a first-round score of 75, but responded with a 5-under-par 65 to sit in a tie for fifth place. He recorded five birdies in the second round to lead the way. The senior was 8-over after 14 holes but would birdie three of the remaining four holes. He moved up 40 places in the second round sit three shots off the lead.
Sebastian Moss is tied for 11th place after shooting a 72-70 during his first two rounds of play on Monday. After opening with a 72, Kennedy carded two birdies on No. 5 and No. 17 to shoot even-par.
Cooper Claycomb shot a 75-71=146 to place in a tie for 30th, while Easton Johnson is tied for 44th after shooting 75-73=148. Clay Pendergrass is tied for 52nd after his rounds of 76-73=149.
