Cardinals Set to Take Part in Bellarmine Open

Field events will begin at 10:00 a.m. with track events starting at 10:30 a.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky – The University of Louisville track & field teams return to the track on Friday, Jan. 19 for the Bellarmine Open, which will take place at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville.
Competition will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the women's long jump, men's pole vault, and men's shot put before track events begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's distance medley relay.
The meet will mark the third straight home meet in Louisville for the Cardinals to begin the season, most recently competing at the Rod McCravy Memorial last weekend.
After her performance in the women's shot put a week ago, Jayden Ulrich was honored as the ACC Women's Field Athlete of the Week, becoming the fourth Louisville student athlete to be recognized by the conference thus far this season.
The Cardinals also saw a pair of stellar performances in the men's long jump at the Rod McCravy Memorial. as the duo of Jake Burkey and Jeremiah Willis both posted marks that currently rank among the top-10 nationally.
Louisville's entries for this weekend will be headlined by Noah Koch, an All-American transfer from Indiana who joined the team earlier this month, as well as two of the most successful student athletes in school history in Joe Delgado and Gabriela Leon, who will both be competing unattached.
