No. 10 Cardinals Host NC State Sunday Night

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's soccer team returns to conference play on Sunday night to take on NC State at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and will be televised on ACC Network Extra.
ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Louisville got back in the win column on Tuesday night with a 2-0 victory at Evansville. Ethan Subachan found the first goal of the match in the 79th minute and Damien Barker John converted a penalty kick in the closing seconds for the exclamation point.
The Cardinals are once again one of the top scoring sides in the country. Louisville ranks top 25 nationally in goals per game, shots per game and shots on goal per game.
SERIES HISTORY
Louisville leads the all-time series 5-4-2 against NC State. The Cardinals secured a 1-0 victory last September in a rain-soaked match in Raleigh. David Boccuzzo scored his first collegiate goal early in the second half as the lone tally on the day.
CARDINALS ON THE ATTACK EARLY
John Michael Hayden's team has one of the better offensive attacks in the country once again, ranking in the top 25 in goals and shots per match.
The Cardinals have been especially good early in matches, having scored first in all seven matches this season. Louisville has gotten on the board in the first 10 minutes of three matches (UNC Greensboro, Kentucky, Virginia Tech) and the first 15 minutes of two others (Bellarmine, Syracuse).
ROED CLIMBING CAREER ASSISTS CHART
Louisville midfielder Sander Roed had one of the top assist seasons in program history in 2022, tying for the seventh-most in program history with eight.
Roed notched his 16th career assist on the opening goal against Virginia Tech, moving him into a tie for eighth all-time at Louisville.
Tim Kubel (2014-17) owns the program's career record with 26.
