
Cards to Play in Final Match of Wolfpack Match Play

RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of Louisville women's golf team finished the first two rounds of the Wolfpack Match Play today after falling to one-seeded South Carolina, 3-2, and five-seeded NC State, 3-1-1.
In the quarterfinals, Louisville's Hana Ryskova won her match 3&1 and Mairead Martin won by a single hole. However, Agustina Gomez Cisterna fell 3&2 while Carmen Griffiths and Rylee Suttor each lost by one hole.
The Cardinals faced host-team NC State in the consolation semifinals, which teed off at 1:30 p.m. on hole 10 this afternoon. Ryskova finished strong and secured her second win of the day, 3&2. Depite a solid start, Suttor ended her match in a tie. Gomez Cisterna fell 8&7, Martin fell 3&2, and Griffiths fell 5&4 in the second match.
The Cardinals will face three-seeded Virginia in the final match tomorrow, teeing off of hole 10 at 8:00 a.m.
