Elena Scott to Train With US National Team

Louisville's libero will head to Anaheim for Spring Break Training Trip
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- All-American libero Elena Scott will spend March 12-18Â at the USA Women's National Volleyball Team Spring Train Camp in Anaheim, Calif. Â She is one of 18 collegiate volleyball players are set to train with U.S. Women's National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly and his staff on March 12-18 at the Anaheim National Team Training Center.
After training for the week, the group will scrimmage on March 18.
"We are thrilled at the opportunity to work with this group of student-athletes for 2023 Spring Training Camp," Kiraly said. "With the LA 2028 Olympic Games less than six years away, who knows? Some women from this group could be repping USA Volleyball!"

About Elena
 In 2022, Elena was named an AVCA Second-Team All-American honoree, an AVCA East Region First-Team honoree, and an All-ACC First-Team honoree. Elena played in all 119 sets, recording 126 assists, 41 aces, and 467 digs, a team high. A defensive titan, she had six matches with 20 or more digs: 20 vs. Ohio State, 26 vs. Georgia Tech, 20 vs. Wake Forest, 25 vs. Georgia Tech, 22 vs. Purdue, 28 vs. Pitt. Elena had a season-best match in the National Semifinal game against Pittsburgh, recording eight assists, five points, five aces, and 28 digs. As a freshman, Elena was named to the AVCA First Team All-East Region, Second Team All-ACC. ACC All-Freshman and ACC Freshman of the Week on three occasions as the only non-Outside Hitter to be honored.
