El-Araby Heads to 50 Free Finals at NCAA Championships

200 Free Relay team set to compete tonight
MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Louisville will send Abdelrahman El-Araby to the finals in the 50 freestyle after Thursday's prelims at the 2023 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center in Minneapolis. UofL will also swim the 200 free relay tonight and are ranked seventh entering the meet.
Abdelrahman El-Araby went 19.96 to touch sixth in the final heat of the prelims. He will return tonight in the consolation final of the Championship. Dalton Lowe turned in a 19.40 to finish second in heat 2 of the 50 freestyle.
The 200 free relay team that won bronze at the ACC Championships in Greensboro with Abdelrahman El-Araby, Michael Eastman, Dalton Lowe and Vlad Dubinin earning medals for the Cards, will be back in the water as well.
