Louisville to Compete in 2024 Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville men's basketball is set to compete next season in the 2024 Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis, the tournament announced Wednesday.

The event will take place Nov. 27-29, 2024, at Atlantis Paradise Island in Paradise Islands, Bahamas. The Cardinals are joined in the talented eight-team field by Arizona, Creighton, Davidson, Gonzaga, Indiana, Oklahoma and West Virginia.

Matchups and television coverage will be announced at a future time.

This will be the third time that Louisville has competed in the Battle 4 Atlantis following appearances in 2012 and 2016. The Cardinals reached the championship game in both of their previous trips and hold a 4-2 all-time record in the event.

Louisville has an overall record of 6-2 in the Bahamas after also winning the Baha Mar Hoops championship in 2021.

The Cardinals have previously played every team in the 2024 field with an overall record of 25-24 against the potential opponents.

The team they've faced most frequently is Indiana, with a 9-12 record, including this season's loss to the Hoosiers in the Empire Classic in New York. The Cardinals are 9-4 vs. West Virginia, 3-2 vs. Arizona, 2-0 vs. Davidson, 1-3 vs. Oklahoma, 1-2 vs. Creighton and 0-1 vs. Gonzaga.

Four of those teams – Arizona, Creighton, Gonzaga and Oklahoma – are currently ranked in The Associated Press Top 25.
