DeBeer, Scott and Glock Win ACC Weekly Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville won three Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball weekly awards with the Cardinals' Anna DeBeer earning Offensive Player of the Week laurels, Elle Glock as the Setter of the Week and Elena Scott splitting Defensive Player of the Week with Pitt's Emma Monks.Â
DeBeer recorded a double double versus No. 12 Georgia Tech with 18 kills, and 15 digs along with three aces and a block. She passed 41 serves, more than double any other player on both teams. The Louisville, Kentucky, native helped No. 7 Louisville beat the Yellow Jackets, 3-1, after losing to them earlier in the season by the same score. The junior outside hitter bookended the awards season, earning the first Offensive Player of the Week award and the last.
Scott and Monks previously shared the award once before this season on Sept. 11. Scott posted 15 digs, two aces and three assists against Georgia Tech. Scott now owns a total 1,272 career digs after recording double digit digs in all but two matches. She has notched a total of 29 digs in the last two matches (Pitt and GT).Â
Glock led the Cardinals to a 3-1 win over Georgia Tech with 41 assists, a kill, and two aces. The Wahoo, Nebraska, native averaged 10.25 assists per set while guiding the Cards offense to a .235 hitting percentage in the match that featured two deuce sets.
