
Moss Posts Third-Straight Top-10 Finish

LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Sebastian Moss of the University of Louisville men's golf team shot a final round 67 to post his third-straight top 10 finish of the fall as the Cards finished play at the Fighting Irish Classic on Monday.
As a team, the Cardinals shot a final round score of 282 to finish in a tie for eighth place with Purdue. Louisville ended the two-day event at 18-over-par after carding 295-281-282=858. Tennessee won the tournament, while Northwestern and Indiana tied for second place.
Moss, who won his last two tournaments, continued his fine fall by finishing ninth overall with a 74-68-67=209, which was seven shots off the lead. The junior posted five birdies in the final round, scoring on No. 5 and No. 7 on the front, and tallying birdies on No. 10 and No. 11 and No. 16 on his final nine holes.
Cooper Claycomb tied for 36th place after carding a 6-over-par 216. He shot 74-68-74, while Max Kennedy was one shot behind with his rounds of 73-72-72=217.
Clay Pendergrass tied for 52nd place with his scores of 74-73-72=219 and Easton Johnson rounded out the top five by placing in a tie for 64th place with an 80-73-71=224.
The Cardinals close the fall season at the Williams Cup in Wilmington, N.C., on Oct. 9-10.
