
Cardinals Head South for Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate

This is the second to last fall tournament for the Cards
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville women's golf team is back on the road for another fall tournament as they travel to Knoxville, Tennessee for the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate. The Cardinals are one of 14 teams competing in the tournament and it is being held at the Par-71, 5,965-yard Cherokee Country Club. The three-day tournament begins on Sunday, October 16 and will conclude on Tuesday, October 18.
The Cardinals are coming off a tie for 12th place finish at the Windy City Classic just two weeks prior. It was their third tournament this fall and the Cards were going up against a number of teams ranked in the top-25. The Cardinals have also competed in the Boilermaker Classic and finished fourth and the Mason Rudolph Classic and they finished 10th.
Hana Ryskova paced the Cardinals at the Windy City Collegiate as she finished tied for 27th at 3-under-par for the tournament. It was her second tournament this fall where she had the team-best score for the Cardinals. In the first round of the Windy City, Ryskova tallied a season-best round of 67, her best 18-hole score since the 2021-22 season. Ryskova led the Cards at the Boilermaker Classic, where she finished third overall at 6-under-par.
Carmen Griffiths was the team leader at the Mason Rudolph Classic as she finished tied for 12th at 5-under-par. She has competed in all three tournaments for the Cards this fall along with Rylee Suttor. They will both be out on the course this week at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate. Beatriz Barrios is set to compete in her third-straight tournament after making her Louisville debut at the Mason Rudolph. Freshman Millie Cottrell is set to make her collegiate debut for the Cards this week.
The first round of the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday and the first Cardinal will tee off at 11:10 a.m. Fans can follow along with the live stats here or our social media channels for updates throughout the tournament.
