
Cardinals Tied for Seventh At Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate

Hana Ryskova leads the Cards at 1-under-par
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Louisville women's golf team is tied for seventh overall after the first round of the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon. Being held at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, the Cardinals shot a 4-over-par as a team in the first round of the tournament.
Senior Hana Ryskova paced the Cardinals in the first round as she is tied for 14th overall at 1-under-par 70. She had a bogey-free back nine to finish the day as she recorded her seventh par or better round this season through her 10 total rounds played.
Beatriz Barrios was just behind Ryskova as she shot an even-par 71 in the first round. She is tied for 20th overall as she birdied two of her first three holes of the tournament and had three birdies total on the day.
Carmen Griffiths is tied for 30th overall after posting a 2-over-par 73 on Sunday. Rylee Suttor was just behind Griffiths with a 3-over-par 74 and she is tied for 79th overall. Freshman Millie Cottrell made her collegiate debut for the Cards and she finished with a 9-over-par 80 in her first round.
The second round of the tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET tomorrow morning and the first Cardinal to get on the course will be Cottrell at 11:10 a.m. Fans can follow along with the live stats here or our social media channels for updates throughout the tournament.
