Cardinals Complete Fall Schedule in 4th at Williams Cup

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Sebastian Moss of the University of Louisville men's golf team posted his fourth consecutive top-10 finish as the Cardinals wrapped up their fall season in a tie for fourth at the Williams Cup. The junior ended in a tie for sixth overall, just three shots off the lead.
Louisville fired off rounds of 292-303-292 to end with a score of 887 (+23). The Cards ended up tying with No. 17 Florida and North Florida for the fourth place finish. No. 2 North Carolina finished in first with No. 1 Auburn in second and No. 6 Arizona State in third.
Senior Max Kennedy ended the tournament with a bogey-free back nine, carding two birdies that earned him a 1-under-par 71 in the final round. Kennedy posted a top-25 finish, tying for 23rd with an overall score of 6-over-par 222.
Moss carded single round scores of 69-75-71 to finish with a 1-under-par 215. He was one of eight players in the field to finish under par. In the last four tournaments, Moss has shot 25-under-par with nine individual rounds of par or below.
Cooper Claycomb finished his first collegiate fall season with a 71 in round three and an overall score of 12-over-par 228.
Clay Pendergrass ended in a tie for 46th with a 15-over-par 231 and Mads Roddik finished in a tie for 57th with a 22-over-par 238.
The Cardinals have concluded their fall tournament slate and will return to action on Jan. 29-30 at the Sea Best Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
