Women’s Golf Heads North for Windy City Collegiate

GOLF, Ill. — The University of women's golf team is back out on the road as they head north for the Windy City Collegiate. The Cards are traveling to Golf, Illinois with the two-day tournament starting on Monday and will be played at the par-72, 6,338 yards Glen View Club. The Cardinals are one of 15 teams competing in a loaded field that includes nine top-25 teams and four are ranked in the top-10.

This will be the third tournament of the fall season for the Cardinals as they most recently played in the Mason Rudolph Championship a few weeks ago. The Cardinals finished 10th out of 18 teams down in Franklin, Tennessee. The Cardinals opened the fall season at the Boilermaker Classic and they finished fourth out of 15 teams.

Carmen Griffiths led the Cardinals down at the Mason Rudolph as she finished tied for 12th overall with a 5-under-par 211 for the tournament. All three of her rounds were under par and she has had four-straight rounds under par dating back to the final round of the Boilermaker Classic.

Hana Ryskova has had a strong start to the fall season as she was the Cardinals top finisher at the Boilermaker Classic. She finished third overall with a 6-under-par tournament and set a career best 54-hole score of 210. At the Mason Rudolph, she was the second-best Cardinal finisher with 2-over-par 218 and she finished tied for 41st.

Rylee Suttor carded a top-15 finish at the Boilermaker Classic when she finished 2-over-par 218 and was in a tie for 15th overall. She finished one shot behind Ryskova in a tie for 47th as she had a 3-over-par 219 at the Mason Rudolph.

Beatriz Barrios made her first start with the Cardinals down at the Mason Rudolph after transferring from Chattanooga. She finished tied for 55th overall after carding a 5-over-par 221.
