Cardinals Seventh in Perfect Game Preseason Rankings

Louisville opens the season on Feb. 17 at Jim Patterson Stadium.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville baseball program garnered its second preseason top-10 ranking as Perfect Game released its preseason poll on Wednesday.
The Cardinals come in at No. 7 overall after being ranked sixth in the Collegiate Baseball preseason rankings released last month.
LSU holds the top spot followed by Tennessee, Stanford, Arkansas and Wake Forest. Ole Miss is in the six spot ahead of the Cards.
Louisville put together a 42-21-1 record last season, capturing the program's fifth ACC Atlantic Division crown in seven full seasons as a member of the league.
Dan McDonnell heads into his 17th season at UofL with four position player starters returning and 11 pitchers that recorded at least 10 innings on the mound last spring.
